For my 10th week of my 2019 GDS210 unit at SAE, I continued to create models for the environment of our tower mini-game, and also had to create a soundtrack as background music for the game. For the majority of the lesson I worked on creating a stationary turret weapon, for use in the tower mini-game. The turret needed to have several joints as a part of my requirement for the unit. I decided to create a turret with a base rotating horizontally, a barrel rotating vertically, and a circular clip rotating also vertically, all connected using joints in the model editing program Maya. I created this model with much help for my lecturer, and would like to improve upon this in future weeks and units, however now that I have learnt the necessary skills to be able to use the Maya program, it will be much easier for me in future.

In addition to creating models I also created a background soundtrack for the tower mini-game level itself. I used the audio editing program Logic Pro X to create the music (as can be seen in the above image). My group members asked me in Week 9 to create a soundtrack for the level, and requested that it have a cyberpunk feel and be electronic in sound. Upon going to work on this, I used a single synth lead and manually inputed chord arpeggios (rather than using a preset arpeggiator); I than used a sub bass sound plus an 808 style electronic kit sound. The song was quite simple, had a disco feel and was looped, and only used 3 instrument tracks. Upon presenting it to my fellow group members, they were happy with it and it ended up being used in the final build of the project. Overall I was happy with my efforts in Week 9 and Week 10.
