In week 8 of my 5th trimester at SAE, the entire class was put into a group to create a VR project consisting of several minigames. I did not attend the Week 7 Thursday class when we discussed what minigames we would be making, and so in Week 8 I had to catch up with the rest of the class. We decided on three minigames, all based on survival type modes, in which the player had to defend themselves against oncoming enemies. In Week 8 I was responsible for creating a tower model for a tower defence style minigame. I created the model in Maya and used blocks to create indents in the tower. I also increased the width and depth of the tower at the top, and decreased it at the bottom.

I was advised by my group members to create a tower in the style of a futuristic cyberpunk theme, and so this was why I decided to create the tower in this way. I created many indents using cube objects with the boolean tool in Maya, which helped to create this effect. I did not need to create a texture map for the model as this was to be done by my other group members in Unity. I hope to create more models in future classes and maybe refine this current tower model.
